Rewards

As a corporate member of the Model Boating Association of South Africa, we are committed to reward our members and supporters for participating in events hosted by us.

Our Internal Rewards Program is in compliance with the MBA Reward Rules published from time to time and further, with specific reference to MBA Rule 5, the following is made public:

Reward Rules:

Only MBA members who has an active digital Access or Membership Card issued by the Association is eligible to be included in the Rewards Program.

The following Minimum Points are allocated for participation in MBA endorsed events:

  1. 5 points for each person attending the event and remain in attendance for more than 1 hour.
  2. 5 points for a guest of any person who is the holder.
  3. a maximum of -5 penalty points may be deducted per month for not attending events for that month, without a valid reason given to the event organiser / club committee.
  4. Credits may be granted for participating in the following:
    • Organised races, competitions and exhibits of skill and endurance,
    • Group / Club or Society communication systems, social media and the like,
    • any activity which is deemed to be a function of retaining interest in the community.
  5. Direct Rewards and Prizes may be given to MBA Members for contributions over and above the participation in the hobby of radio controlled boating.

Credits

Credits are awarded as follows:

Western Cape Model Boat Owners Whatsapp Community

    • 100 credits for Sign-up to the Community
    • 10 credits for requesting to join a moderated Group
    • 5 credits for posting any noteworthy information
    • 1 credit for commenting on noteworthy information

ID123 Access Cards

    • 200 Credits for installing the App
    • 100 credits for activating an Access Card
    • 50 Credits for activating a Model Boating Permit for Sonstraal Dam
    • 25 Credits for each Vessel Registration Certificate.

SMS Notifications

    • 10 Credits for submitting your mobile nr to us
    • 50 for JOIN text sent to 32013

        • 1618 is for Centurion Model Boats
        • 1637 is for Western Cape Model Boats

Direct Rewards and Prizes

Direct Rewards are small “thank you gifts” for being an Awesome person and supporting us. These rewards are added to your Access / Membership Card and can be used for purchasing food or fuel at participating retailers.

Prizes are allocated by sponsors and include RC Boating Merchandise like Clothing and Apparel, Models, KIts, Parts, Transmitters etc etc.
