We bring RC Boating to the Western Cape
The West Cape Model Boat Company is a privately owned business registered in 2020 before the beginning of the COVID 19 pandemic. We started business when we were planning the "Model Boats at Half Moon Bay" at the Canal Walk Shopping Centre just months before the national lock-down stopped us in our tracks.
In the beginning of 2024, during February after a local model boat club operating at Sonstraal Dam, alienated a large number of their members, we realised the need for alternative venues within the Western Cape which will focus more on social cohesion and family recreation, and on the 5th of July 2024, the Model Boating Association of South Africa gave us the green light to organise the first event at Ratanga Park since it's redevelopment from the former Ratanga Junction.
